During the recent cold spell, I kept my heating on 24 hrs a day.

I just have a simple Honeywell room stat and programmer, I was thinking I might do better with a stat that is timed so it can give different temps night and day. I am sure they are available, but are they very expensive? What's a good one?

My stat position has 3-core and earth to it, it has a permanent Live and Neutral in, plus Switched Live out, so it has power to run a timer. The stat is some distance from the programmer and I don't want to rewire.

I like simple things that are easy and intuitive to set. I don't like the idea of a wireless one.

Honeywell CM907, job done. Will be a straight swap, very user friendly and decent piece of kit, we use them on all our customers and everyone loves them.

Thanks!

the Honeywell seems to be twice the price of the Horstmann, though
