I recently installed a timed shower extractor which I wired up to the bathroom light switch (standard L/N/SL/E). Seems to work fine. However, when I switch on the fluorescent light in my kitchen, which is on the same ring circuit, it triggers the fan to come on. I assume this is caused by the strip light causing a mains spike? Is this a known problem or have I wired up the fan wrongly. If it is caused by a spike, is it possible to reduce the sensitivity of the fan switch? Any advise or help would be appreciated.
