I have got a Vortice extractor fan for a small toilet.
There is a live and neutral running to it from the switch, plus a permanent live running to the timer connection.
Switch on and the light and fan come on, no problem.
Switch off, and the fan does not remain on, it goes off too, which is not what I want obviously.
It says that the fan is factory set to 3 mins and can be changed to anything between 3 and 20 minutes. I have two untis and have tried them both, to the same effect.
Aaaaaaaaargh! What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried switched live to the timer connection, permanent live to the live connecton? Not a switched neutral through a DP switch?

Just tried it, and it was a success. Thank you so much.
I followed the diagrams exactly and wired it just as I said in my posting and that was my frustration. It's a fan which comes with a handbook in many languages originally from Italy.

Anyway, thank you for solving the problem. I was beginning to tear my hair out.
