I had a problem with my radiators a while back ,as in they were not heating up fully so I drained them ,but the pressure dropped on the combi ,so I topped it up ,but I put to much pressure in so now when ever we use the hot water tap it bangs. My question is how do I drop the pressure ,I only need to lose about half a bar.

topping up syst. pressure should not cause d.h.w to bang as for dropping pressure open rad vent or boiler drain make and model would help

Worchester bosch 28i junior had it about 18 months.

Why did you drain the radiators when they needed bleeding?

Not enough info :-

What combi is it?
Where does the banging noise come from?
Have you bled the air from the rads?
*Is your auto air vent cap loose on your combi?*
Anything else you think may be relevant?

To answer your question for what it is worth and not that I think that it will get you anywhere.
One way is to open a bleed vent and catch the water until the pressure is about right.
Another is to let some out from a Drain off Valve.

Sorry I didn't mean drain them I meant bleed them.

I just bleed the the rads because they were not heating up all over.
The combi is a worcester bosch 28i junior as stated above.
The noise appears to come from the boiler.
All the air is bleed from the rads as water starts to come out when there is no air in them.
