We've just had our loft converted including a new bathroom, and ever since, the toilet in the old bathroom has behaving strangely. Maybe its just a coincidence, or perhaps its to do with the new install. I can't find any explanation for what its doing so I was hoping someone here could help.

Here's the problem. After the toilet has been flushed and the tank has filled up, the toilet decides it needs one last hurrah, and dribbles a bit more water into the bowl. It only lasts for about 10 seconds, and in itself its not too worrying, but because it has never done this before, and I still hold a snagging retention with the builders, I'd like to get to the bottom of this, as if its anything to do with their work then I can get them to fix it. Can anyone help?

We often get a problem with the last dribble as we get older :D

It might be because modern cisterns have an internal overflow as opposed to a pipe to outside, just possibly the level in the cistern is a bit too high and it is almost overflowing, the water sloshing around manages to splash some over right at the end.

Remove the top and check the water level usually there is a mark on the side to show the correct fill point.
