Having been harassed into changing the light fitting by her indoors, it keeps tripping the Proteus MCB 6A when it is switched off!

According to the instruction sheet the light fitting which contains a torrodial transfomer may cause nusiance tripping!

Any ideas how to solve this?

Fit an electronic transformer :)

Or try a C type breaker in the board. This is usually fine for a domestic install, but ya have to be careful that the loop impedance isnt exceeded. (which if its a small domestic house is VERY doubtful that it will.)
