Installed a towel rad today, my first attempt at soldering has worked no problems but the tails are leaking where they connect to the main body. I wrapped plenty of tape round the threads but still they leak. The rad is one from aldi, it came with 4 small rubber rings, 2 of which obviously go in the caps at the top of the rad but it's not obvious if the remaining two belong at the tails, since they don't overlap to catch the ring in the same way as the blanking and bleed cap do on the top. Is it normal to have rubber rings attached to the tails or are they just spares for the top?
Thanks

either not enough tape, wrong tape, or just typical case of poor quality rad

I bought some tails which were better for the towel rad, telescopic with a rubber o ring which nicely sealed the join. Shame they were so expensive at £16 for the pair but job done and the towel rail made it really easy to add X400 and next X100 .
