Tricity bendix aw110w machine goes through full cycle but when it gets to spin cycle it spins for a few seconds and then stops and the timer goes through to end of cycle. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have recently removed the belt and the motor runs fine and the spin program completes its full cycle but when I replaced the belt the same problem appeared, incomplete spin cycle. I am assuming that there is a problem with the motor. If so I would prefer to buy a new machine as machine is five years old and a new motor is £110. If any one could confirm my suspicions so I don't have to buy a new machine unnecessarily.
