I am looking to install a tubular heater into a porch. The heater being a Glen Tubular job with a 13amp plug (but uses a 5amp fuse)

The porch has no easy access to the ring main, but I was thinking I could easily run a single cable to the porch from an unused 6amp MCB in the consumer unit and then attach the heater using a fused & switch cable connector?

Does this sound okay?

he has already said it wouldn't be. besides for all we know consumers unit could be other side of wall.

use a 2.5mm t & e cable

Thanks for the advice.

Breezer you must be psychic! The heater is on the other side of the wall from the consumer unit
