Hi All

I have a system boiler setup, S plan with underfloor heating on one side, unvented hot water cylinder and radiators on another zone.

Whenever the hot water cylinder is on, the tundish and the condensing pipe is constantly leaking water. I looked at the stats on the cylinder and it was set to 70 or so, i turned it down back to 60. This didn't make any difference.

I took a sample of the water dripping from the tundish, and it wasn't hot, wasn't dead cold either just a tiny bit warm. I am starting to suspect the TPRV here as the issue only occurs when the cylinder is calling for hot water. I read the document on the link https://www.kingspan.com/gb/en-gb/p...water-discharge-from-tundish-diagnostic-chart

I should also state that we live in a hard water area and I know a friend of mine has had to change the pressure relief valve block a few times as previous ones were getting damaged with limescale coupled with very high pressure on his cold water mains, what he did was to reduce the mains pressure and get a water softener. We have a water softener hence why the issue is baffling me.

If it’s not done it all the time, then it sounds like an expansion related issue, may as well get a G3 registered engineer to service the unvented cylinder too.
