One of my radiators with a Drayton TRV4 has broken off, the top section and now the radiator is on full blast. I live in a flat with a communal heating system so i have no way of turning the system off and its a little on the warm side. Is there any way i can turn it off?

you are not turning it off correctly then , post a pic of the valve on the other end from the TRV (Lockshield valve) and we will tell you how to turn it off

Pull the white cap off the other valve and use a spanner to turn it off.

Count the number of turns when you do though and unwind the same number when you fix the other end.

Sounds as if all you need is a new Drayton TRV4 valve head.

They are commonly available. But sometimes it is more expensive to buy the head on its own than as a complete valve.

put a penny on the valve pin, press it down and then apply sticky tape to hold it in place.
