Hi,
We've just had our kitchen and dining room made into one and the electrician has wired both room lights into one switch. When I took the switch off there is only one set of cables going into it which makes me think there is a junction box somewhere in the ceiling..
I've got no idea where the junction box is and I was wondering if anybody had a ny clever ideas on how to get the lights on separate switches??

Thanks in advance!

He may have wired them via a JB, or he may have simply connected one light from the switched side of t'other. To switch them separately you'll need to run a switch cable from each light.

thanks for the reply.. if i take the lights down should i possibly see two switch cables running from one of them?
