need some help what do i use as a bonding to tyrolean over a old painted render the old render is sound?

Hard to say on this one Chris. Tyrolean itself normally goes onto an unpainted cement render as you probably know, so unless you can remove "all" the old paint, or prep/rough up, and thinly re-render/tyrolean on top of the old,,, that's it for me. Others might have suggestions.

As rough has said, there is no suction in paint and by heck tyrolean needs suction. Otherwise you will end up with a gritty mess creeping down the wall. :rolleyes:
