I have a water underfloor heating system in one room. It has worked without fail since installation about 4 or 5 yrs ago. We have been having some building work done and as part of this the supply pipes to the UFH were cut and re-connected. I have a feeling the pump may have been on when they were cut as when I returned on the evening the boiler was sounding an alarm and I had left the heating on in the morning to help dry the plaster. Since completion the pump has not work. The builders plumber and electrician have looked at it and confirmed to me that the "cyanide" (not sure on spelling or what this is) has gone. I've been googling around and I can't find any reference to this. Apparently they were able to bypass it and managed to get the pump to work. Does this stack up as I am mindful that they won't be wanting to take blame or want to replace it?
