Redoing the bathroom, and putting down either vinyl or tiling.. anyway...
A lot of the current floorboards are bowed and curved badly along the center line of each one.. so they look like this..
a bit of an exaggeration, and excuse the dodgy drawing.. but you get the idea.
Whats the best plan? Reading around it says i need to plane them flat, and then attach 10mm ply over the top.
Is that right? Also, what causes this? these are the boards that are walked on the most... would this be why? The house is about 20 years old..
