Hi all.
I'm in the process of planning a rear extension + integrated garage conversion.
The existing house has a suspended floor.
I'm looking at replacing the suspended floor with a solid floor such that the screed containing the UFH is a single mass (circa 100m2) through existing/garage/extension.
The void below the suspended floor is 250mm from current FFL.
Most details I've seen suggest a build up of type 1 > sand > dpm > concrete > insulation > screed.
I'm reluctant to dig down beyond the current ground level (if I don't need to), is there any combination of hardcore/sand/dpm/concrete that I can place within the remaining 100mm (given 75mm screed + 75mm insulation).? i.e. exclude the concrete slab or exclude the hardcore?
Thanks in advance
