I recently had a problem with my front door lock (which I've managed to fix) however started to look at replacement door locks. I note that some locks have rollers, some hooks, and some have both.
What's the reason for variation? If it's purely a matter of preference or design, why do some manufacturers use both on the same lock? On the surface, hooks seem more substantial and therefore more secure but I'm sure I might be wrong about that.
Just interested really
