Well... I'd like to! It's only 860w (Makita) and a 3/8" collet, whereas I believe I need a 1/2" collet to work with a standard guide on most jigs.

I appreciate it's low power so I will have to make more progressively lower cuts, but is there anyway I can use this for a worktop on a standard jig or do I need to buy a new router?

you also need a 1/2" router because worktop cutters are virtualy impossible to find in less than 1/2"
