If I use plywood to form for concrete walls can I then use the plywood as sheathing material even if there is some residue? Does the concrete residue have any detrimental effects?

Yes, re-use the ply forms. Oil the forms before pouring, and when you strike them they should come away with very little residue.

Ply sheets that are bowed, if not badly distorted, can be screwed on with more fixings.

In older buildings, If you come across old 1" x 6" RS diagonal flooring, or sheathing boards, you will notice that they have been pre-used as forms.
