UV window film to avoid fading but keep the heat?

Hi. My flat has a large southwest facing window (well, actually an array of four windows including a UPVC door) which is perfect for the winter (in the summer the balcony upstairs casts a shadow so no problems with the heat). However, furniture, carpets, pictures, etc. have started to fade.

I've been thinking about getting something like https://www.omegawindowfilms.co.uk/uv-protection-clear-window-film.html but I had some questions.

- Is this likely to have any impact on indoor plants (I know that they take more than UV light, but if there's none...)?
- Will they only filter UV but not infrared, i.e. will I still be able to enjoy the heat from the sunshine in the winter?
- Any possible issues installing on triple-glazed windows?
- How easy is this to install? I'm a moderately competent DIY-er so would hope that I could pull it off as long as it's not really a job for a pro.

Thanks
