Can anyone help with an issue I have with my condensing boiler?
On start-up I can hear a noise, which sounds like a fan clearing gasses from the burner chamber. The boiler is located in the attic and although not loud the noise can be heard in the bedrooms, in the downstairs rooms and even outside. the noise lasts for 20 - 30 seconds and then the system is totally quiet from then on. The issue is when the boiler is called to operate overnight ie water and central heating for the morning. The noise wakes people sleeping in the bedrooms and even the adjoining neighbours.
Does anyone have experience of this boiler and is it nosier during this start-up period? Is there any way of making it quieter, eg slowing the fan and run it for longer.
Any help would be appreciated.
