Hi all, did a bit of snooping 1st but I was unable to find an answer so here goes.
Ive a Vaillant 824e/828e which is about 10 years old now. Only previous problem with it is the famous hot/cold water issue to which ive cleaned out the dhw heat exchanger on a few occasions now.
Upto to day I had never had a problem with the CH. The boiler is only running in short burst then going into s.07 pump over run. I then have to wait 5mins (d.67 default setting) before it restarts.
While watching the boiler run (s.04) I notice that the temp will be low then settle at 58 for a couple of mins then I hear a change like its clling for more gas and instead of modulating the temp will rise quickly less than 5 secs to 63 then go into burner light goes out and back into pump over run. This then repeats... No fault comes up, and the rads are not hot as usual only warm and the thermostat has not reached its set point to turn off the heating
