Hi wonder if anyone can offer a little advice - woke up this am to find water on kitchen bench from leak in boiler. Have removed front to locate leak and it appears to be the pump - system also appears to have lost pressure. Leak not massive but persistent. So close to Christmas cannot afford emergency call out and repair so hope to wait until Thursday. Is it safe to run the boiler or not? Also any ideas if pump will need replaced or is it likely to just be a seal? How complex a job is it? Thanks

It is leaking at the base of the join where the hex screws fasten to the black casing - sorry can't be more technical!

That results from worn bearings due to dirt in the system.

Pump will need replacing and the system cleaned or a mag filter added to prevent the new pump failing the same way too quickly.

Nope no way to repair that, it's gonna need a new pump and as Vaillant have replaced the wilo u have with grundfos it's not a quick easy job, it will dump its guts very soon I'm afraid this is the early tell tale. Also u should not be removing the front cover on this model....good luck
