Hi Everyone.

I have a 3 year old Vaillant ecomax 835. Just recently it has started to loose pressure and i have to keep topping it up. I am now doing this every 4-6 hours or so. I have checked all the radiators for leaks and cant find a thing.

After reading some posts on here i have tried the following. Firstly, i turned off the valves on the heating flow and return pipes and left the boiler for a while. The pressure dropped. I took off the cover and looked inside the boiler. No water, no drips, no signs of any leaks.

Do you think its the prv. Unfortunately, i cant find where it terminates. I am in a flat and the prv tube disappears down in the basement somewhere.

Anything else which could cause my boiler to loose pressure like this??

Certainly sounds like the prv, but without finding the termination you cannot prove it so would have to replace to confirm, or cut the pipe to see then reconnect it.

An outside chance would be the HE leaking into the condensate pipe.

Thanks for the reply Dave.

Could you point me in the right direction to getting hold of a new prv. Doesn't look a straightforward prv as it has an atatchment for the filling loop
