Hi! Planning on getting a boiler engineer in but just wanted to check there was no simple checks I could try before I do! I have a Vaillant ecotec pro combi boiler with VRT 30 manual thermostat. It was installed about 3 years ago and I've had no problems with it up to now. The hot water works immediately when I turn on the hot tap. Unfortunately the central heating has started to be really erratic over the last week and is not coming on. When I check the panel on the boiler it is on s.03 which suggests it is waiting for command from thermostat. However thermostat is turned up fully and I can hear it 'clicking' on when it passes the room temperature. Called an engineer the other day but before he came, the heating suddenly came on again so cancelled him as I was worried he wouldn't be able to diagnose anything as it had started working again. It continues to do this a few times through the day, just not enough now the cold weather is hitting in!
I'm obviously not expecting to fix this myself, just after any suggestions of things I could check before getting someone in!
Thanks!!
