my combi hotwater will not ignite when the water pressure is low at peek times homeserve has told me that this because it is old but I had the same problem when it was new. Is there a way to trigger burner at lower pressure rates?

As far as I know, the water company must supply at least 1.25 bar which should be enough to get your boiler going. Do you know what the pressure is?

As far as I am aware Thames water has reduced pressure to 0.7 bar in many areas of London to minimise leaks in their infrastructure.
