Varnishing a floor....... with what

After much deliberation, Ive decided to go with dye and varnish

Question is when putting on water based varnish, what do i use to put the varnish on?

Brush? Roller? Sponge?

If its a rollor. which sort, sponge or emulsion style? and what pile

I want the a nice smooth finish and im using BONA MEGA water based floor varnish

I'd recommend either a 12" lambswool applicator or as big a brush as you can handle.

Rollers can leave spark marks, I've no experience of using a sponge.
