Velux battens

I’ve battened my roof now and stopped a bit short at the sides of the veluxs, I now realise that the battens should go all the way up to the window opening, was wondering if I can batten vertically up each side to make up the difference, and lap the felt back over that. Can’t see why it would be an issue but if anyone could confirm then great

I’ve stopped the battens 50mm short of where they should be on each side so was planning to just run another batten up the sides
Yes I’m a short ar$e but that’s another story

If its a tile flashing kit then they are a single unit down each side which is from
memory about a 100mm wide so I don't think you will have a problem.
