Hello all.

Need help with deciding which route to go to, with a new system... Vented or unvented.

2 bed house two shower, Central heating and water pipe work, tank being completely being renewed and replaced.

Want to go unvented due to lack of roof space for tanks etc, pipe work, shower pumps etc.

Already has relatively new external oil boiler.(heat only)

Have measured water pressure/flow.. Midday (Measured from outside tap)

Static pressure 2.7 bar
Dynamic pressure 0.7 bar (another Tap on full)

Flow 12l minute down to 6l minute with another tap on full.

Is this good enough for unvented setup? Esp for running two showers at the same time?

Thanks in advance.

I would look for over 2 bar dynamic and 18l/min as an absolute minimum. Generally over 3 bar and over 20l/min with a 25mm inlet from the street before I can sell it with confidence. I'd refuse the job based on your figures even if you wanted to chance it.

Best stick with stored, you can get all sorts of shapes for cold tanks.
