hi. im wondering are your thoughts on dfe ventilation that goes via floor? went to one recently. sofa over the vent. explained to customer and ncs it. but im thimnking i should ar these. and tell customer to relocate vent just to cover myself

Would have AR'd it. Most houses ventilated under floor via airbricks to outside are nowhere near 100cm. Did you check this? If there was 100cm then NCS as cant prove airpath
 
If the size of the ventilation is correct, and the installation of the vent is correct, it is technically correct, not even ncs. Sticking the sofa on top of the vent might not influence the working at all; it would have to be less than about 2mm above the floor to obstruct the airflow.

nothing wrong with vent, cover your ar*e and leave signed job ticket with advisory about covering/obsructing combustion air vent. If the property is built on old land fill site different rules apply. Easy to see, every 100yards there will be a snorkel around the estate, other clue is the smell.
