Ventilation

In most of the MI's for fans I've installed, they recommend a DP switched FCU with the pull cord 'isolating' the switched live.

I took a picture of the fan assembly, which shows the wiring diagram on the outside; I isolated power at the CU.


Seems to suggest that the light should be supplied from the fan, through the fused connection.

It's just one of a few possible ways that it would work. It is more usual to wire it off of the light, not the other way around. But it would make no difference.

I suppose it would often be the easiest way to get the S/L (as well as the L) protected by the FCU, if one were concerned about that (which one probably needn't be).
