Vents in cellar

Hello,

I'm trying to increase ventilation in the cellar, there was only one 6x9 clay vent in what was the old coal chute. I have now
got rid of a few bricks and It now looks like this

How would you proceed? I can fit in 2 lots of 6x9 clay vents with a maybe a single plastic vent.
