I have just finished installing a Veritas R8 system with 3 PIR, 1 Magnetic, Oddysey 3E Bellbox.
I have gone through the walk test and the sounder check OK.

Is there a way to silence the external sounder while the system is checked for a week or two, just so I don't upset the neighbours if it does go off for some reason or another? I can't see it as an option in the set up. I'm confident but the other half isn't.

If I disconnect the sounder+ I take it the stobe won't work, so can the sounder- stop the siren from working?

This doesn't make any sense. If you want to deactivate the sounder remove the wire at the ba terminal on the panel pcb (bell activate). Everything else should then work as normal.

Thanks,

Just to make sure, out of the following terminals:

Strb, 0V, Tamp, Bell, +12

I would disconnect the Bell?

Yes. Different panels give them slightly different names. Sometimes Bell, sometimes BA.
