Veritas R8 alarm siren going off when unset

Good Morning.

Last night at around 8pm our alarm started to go off. We we in the house and the system was not set. The keypad was not showing any zones - the only LED that was lit was the green unset one.

I opened the main box and tested the fuses. In the end i replaced two fuses and the alarm stopped.

I then reprogrammed the suite, part set they system and went to bed.

This morning at 7:30am we entered our code to unset the alarm. A few minutes later the alarm started to go off again! Same situation with no red zone LED's or tamper light.

Just to clarify, it is the outside siren going off. No siren from the internal keypads or sounder. After a couple of minutes the siren stopped.

Has anyone had this problem before and can suggest a solution?

it had been raining yesterday yes. not this morning though.

If I open up the bell box will it trigger the alarm?

If so, is there any way to disable it beforehand?

Yes & no, just be ready for it to sound

If it doesn't there is something wrong with it.

I am worried that the alarm will sound and I may not be able to stop it.

So, I have called an engineer.
