I live in a 1930s semi and the top half of the front is tile hung consisting of tiles-battons-timber studs-large empty void-timber studs-lathe & plaster.
I would like to replace the tiles (appx 6x9) whilst doing so pack a load of loft insulation into the void and use a nice thick felt behind the tiles.
I've been qouted a grand to do the work but intend to do it myself anyone have an idea on material costs theres appx 5 square metres of tiles fitting around 2 windows, any tips/advice appreciated also.
