Hi, please help!

I have a kitchen mixer tap (a stainless steel 'Abode' mixer) that is causing some frustration as both the hot & cold water pressure is very low.

This has been an issue for most of this year and getting to a point that it's barely more than a dribble comming through!
The upstairs hot & cold taps have great pressure, so could it be that it's the tap itself with the problem??

The tap is less than 3 years old and was part of a new kitchen installation, back then the tap was fine but we've noticed this pressure drop for a year now.

Your advice would be very appreciated as the mrs is putting pressure on me!

Cheers.

See if the outlet from the mixer spout is blocked - especially if you are in a hard water area. They usually unscrew for servicing.

Thanks Mysteryman......i have just unscrewed the outlet to find that the cartridge inside has broken and is full of 'stuff'....and the water flowing from the tap without the cartridge has restored pressure. I think i will need a replacement cartridge from the tap manufacturer!

You are a life saver! :)
