Lime scaled secondries is very rare and only when there is a fault like a dripping tap. I see about two a year and it takes up to a week or two to clean the plate using HCl if its so badly blocked that there is no flow at all.

Ive never seen a scaled secondary pate heat ex..... The old worcester calorifier types suffered a little round here

Leave the heatex in a bucket of ferroquest for a day or so the hose out the primaries. All will be fine.

Well the way I see it he can clean boths side's of the plate out ! when it is removed !

The old boiler manus are having a field day on this , boiler fault nothing to do with us carp in the system , remove a part its got a stain on it =carp in the system ect ect
