having problems with my central heating. firstly, farthest radiator from boiler went cold, then next furthest , then next one until downstairs radiators all cold. upstairs radiators were hot, but also now not as hot. boiler is downstairs, but pipes come out of boiler and heat upstairs first.
thought it was a blockage so power flushed entire system and also used sludge remover. still same, but now upstairs radiators not as hot.
system is heating up for 30 secs or so then going off for few mins then back on and so on, with flow getting hot but return staying cold.
pipe system is 22mm to 10mm at radiators, but have flushed back from valves at rads so dont think blockage here.
had heat exchanger replaced in september by a vokera engineer as it had corroded inside. could heat exchanger be faulty?
had pump checked and is pumping. could it possibly be pump at end of life and not working effectively? is there any way to check this? is it worth getting a new pump (unfortunately the pump for this system isnot standard as electrical box is on right hand side of pump and would have to buy complete assembly from vokera supplier at cost of £140)
could anyone help please as not sure if problem at boiler or blocked pipes somewhere possibly a manifold. only further way to check pipes is to rip up wooden flooring which hoping is last resort.
