Had a problem over the last couple days.
Boiler fitted in out house -5 failed to start CH with Code 10.
Reset and fired up ok only to find that after a few room stat demand cycles the boiler showed Code 10
This has gone on over a couple of days but the ignition has taken more cycles to fire.
Today had a couple of resets and third time cycle firing now left with Code 10
it cycles and nearly has stable ignition only to fail.
Code 10 is a bit open ended. but I do recall noticing a week or so ago I thought the fan sounded a bit noisy when I pass the flue..
The Fan has it's own code which is not 10.
Could it be the fan is running slow and therefore causing an indirect Code 10
Any one any ideas if it is a known fault or a path I may go down tomorrow..
Cheers in anticipation
John
PS since posting the above went out after the boiler had been switched of for an hour and reset and it fired on second cycle and again the fan seemed wirry. Before I fork out £200 does this assumption fit the problem
EDIT: I have had a heater under the boiler for the last day just in case of frozen condensate, drain pipe disconnected and temp fed to a bucket, but it may well be still a problem...cover off tomorrow and check pipe.
May be water on the flame, burner sensors.....HOPEFULLY
