volkera pressure problem

Hi my volkera compact has a pressure problem i have reset the presure to the right setting but it keeps rising into the red even if i am not using the heating or hot water i have checked the loop and it is ok and not letting water into the system can anyone help

plate heat exchanger passing. have you actually disconnected the filling loop?
 
assuming you've not got the boiler firing, as ststed in original post, then I believe the plate heat exchanger is the only other possibility.
Sorry, but the compact doesnt appear to have a plate heat exchanger :oops: . it will be the main h/ex as this does both CH and HW on the compact

reduce pressure to 1.5 bar

close cold water inlet stop cock underneath boiler

(do not use heating or hot water)

if no pressure rise,then bithermic heat ex internally holed
 
Thats correct it happens with the boiler not firing, when it dose fire up the overflow kicks in is this an expensive job.
