I have a 2001 VW Polo which i've had for 3 years. The car has always had an intermittent problem with the electric windows - one of them stops working (although a clicking noise could be heard when the switch was pressed). After a time the window would begin working again for a while. It has happened to both windows since i've had the car.
The problem happened again today but it is worse this time. There is no longer a clicking when the switch is pressed and the door lock/unlock mechanism on the inside of the car now doesn't work either. Normally when I lock/unlock the car from the outside, you can hear the central locking mechanism whirring, but this has also stopped - however the doors do still lock, thankfully.
Has anybody any idea what the problem could be?? Could it be a fuse thats blown? Any help would be hugely appreciated.
