Wall Light Querie!

Hi,

I am installing a couple of wall lights beside the chimney breast, one each side, I'm using FCU's connecting them to the ring mains sockets and making a couple of spurs from them, I'm also using 1mm2 cable from the FCU's to the light fittings, what i'm not too sure about though is do i use 2.5mm cable from the ring main socket to the FCU? or will the 1mm2 be ok?

sorry if this has been brought up before but i have searched through loads of pages and cant find anything on this subject

any advice would be welcome, cheers!

Hi,

use 2.5mm twin and earth to the switch fuse, and than 1mm to the lights from the switchfuse.

Keep the cabling to the fcu in 2.5mm as it is still on the 'un-fused' side.
