Hi,

I recently took down a pair of wall lights to have a wall skimmed at home and am now attempting to put up new ones.

Both lights work off 1 switch.

There are 3 wires from the wall available to connect to the 1 light (Red, Black and Green/Yellow) which I have connected and tested - works OK.

For the 2nd light, there are 9 wires all fed into a connection block into 4 parts coming from the wall (2 red together, 2 black together, 1 red & 1 black together and 3 Green/Yellow all connected). The light I wish to put up only has 1 Red, 1 Black & 1 Green / Yellow wire.

Is this as simple to connect as the other light??

I have searched the site for an answer to no avail.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

all the earths to the earth on the fitting if class 1, if class 2, all in a chocblock on their own

Hi,
The red from your light needs to go into the connector with the red and black cable in it.
The black into the connector with the two blacks in it.
The earth g/y into the connector with the three earths in it.
