Wall Painting a patch on wall

I need to paint the wall as shown on picture below a patch is shown, what primer can I use to paint this area and coat it with the new paint, so that overlaps do not show.

I know if I just paint this area it will show that patch or I scap it an more than I would have to do the whole wall.

Any ideas to assist.
