Hello there, i have an appollo fanfare 15/30si boiler of which the clock does not work. i have tried to source a new clock but they seem to be unavailable . I have been temporarily using a timed spur switch to time when the boiler comes on and off, although this it not a permanant fix as the timed spur switch does not seem capable of handling the load .
I do have a wall thermostat (honeywell T4360 manual operating) in position now. I would like to know whether i can replae this stat with an electronic programmable thermostat , if so which one is suitable and are they easy to wire . Regards, Steve.

The spur should only have a 3A fuse. If it's blowing, there is something else wrong, apart from the programmer.

Yes, you can replace the 4360 with a programmable stat, but you also need to be able to control the HW times. There are several options, which is the best depends on your system.

I need to know what other components you have.

hello there, the system is an open vented pumped system with hot water tank. i hope this is the info you require , Steve.

That's useful. What's the thing lying on the floor by the pump?

How many wires (brown, blue etc) go from the junction box fixed to the wall by the pump to the boiler?

Where is the main switch which turns the whole system off?

The thing on the floor is an old tank thermostat housing . The system is turned on and off by a spur switch which is next to the boiler . I will look to see how many wires go to the boiler shortly , thanks, steve
