i have been told i need to get my chimney checked so that other rooms don't get filled with smoke. is it a chimney sweep i need and if so where can i find one? (i'm in manchester)

Have a look in your Yellow pages, there arnt many about these days, so be prepared to wait

yep or a chimney linner company... make sure they know what your intending to burn.

If you're still reading this I strongly recommend Acorn Chimney Sweeps from Burnley. Top blokes. Hard working and knowledgeable about all aspects of chimney work.

If your flue is in good nick and Class 1 you don't need a liner. It's about £50 a metre!
