Washing machine causing boiler to turn on?

Hi, just had a new Glow Worm Ultimate3 30c boiler installed. When using my washing machine today, I noticed on the boiler display that the tap icon was flashing (which I believe indicates hot water in use) and the boiler making a sound as though it was firing up, however the flame icon was not showing. This was happening at the start of the cycle when the washing machine was filling up. My dad is adamant that the washing machine is connected to the cold water and not hot. Are there any reasons as to why this is happening?

Yes it’s back pressure flicking the water sensor on, a non return valve and a shock arrestor will sort it, sspeak to the installer

Probably trapped air in a redundant hot feed pipe or elsewhere in the domestic pipework. These should be cut out for compliance.
