Hi
I have bought a house that needs quite a bit of rewiring. We have a utility room and I want to add some sockets for a Washing Machine and a Condenser Drier.

Some people have told me I have to use 4mm cable for this on a main. But I didn't think that was right. Having read some of the posts on this site I believe I can simply continue my standard 2.5mm ring circuit into the utility room and run both a washing machine and drier from this? It may be worth me fitting two single sockets rather than a double though due to the power requirements.

Is this correct?

Thanks
