Hello
I have a problem, my washing machine overfills on the wash cycle. Rinse and spin work fine. I have changed the pressure switch, cleaned out the filter/coin catcher and pipes. Initially I got approx. 15 mins into the wash before it filled up but now it does it straight away.

Anybody any ideas?

Have you cleaned out the pipe from the drum to the pressure switch? You should be able to blow air through it. Also check out if air trap bottle (if present) is also clear.

Hello , i have checked said pipes they are clear and i can hear the pressure switch clicking when i blow down the pipe, and the air trap bottle is clear.

Possibly hot water inlet valve? I'm not familiar with this machine as I have been out of the industry for a few years. The water valves need a HIGH pressure to hold them CLOSED when not activated by the machine. I know it sounds wrong but it is the way normal valves work. You can have low pressure valves fitted if this is the problem.

The machine only has a cold water supply, i suspected it from the start but the man in the spares shop said its not faulty unless it fills up when machine is not switched on or over night, should i fit one anyway.

If its cold fill only then I doubt if the valve is at fault.

The small pressure hose that runs from the chamber on the back of the tub to the pressure switch, needs to be checked for holes especially up the side of the tub and underneath the dispenser as they have a tendency to rub through.

I have checked the pipe and it seems fine no rub marks and it fits tight at the pressure switch and the air trap bottle.
