Water/ Electric Regs

Hi all....does anyone no if there are there any water/electric regs regarding fitting a pushfit water control tap to an electric sink heater(sadia express)basicly is this practice ok ......thankyou

Its a point of isolation for water, so IMO has nothing to do with 17th edition/Regs
 
i dont use push fit at all, but they are passed as fit to use by water regs so there cant be anything against using them, best to confirm with MI's of heater rather than regs
 
Unless there may be an issue with earth bonding (when you cut the pipe), there's no reason why you shouldn't do this

Providing you are not fitting it on the outlet - that is the open vent that stops the heater over-pressurising as it heats the water.

Block the outlet, and the whole heater could suddenly start travelling in several different directions at the same time.
